A DAY EXPLORING PROVINCETOWN

This past weekend we had our first real taste of summer, we took a day trip to Provincetown, MA. 6 years ago right after we got engaged in June we took a weekend trip to Provincetown. It was such a memorable trip; ever since then we’ve been meaning to go back and walk across the jetty again. From Boston it’s about a 2 hour drive + some traffic depending on the day. We arrived around noon, grabbing some drinks and lunch before our mini trek. We could tell the tiny town wasn’t at full summer capacity considering the current world circumstances, however the restaurant patios were thriving. After perusing through the main strip we drove down to the end and parked on a side street near the Provincetown Inn. Walking across the jetty took about 45 minutes, we are fast walkers and the rocks can be tricky for those less traveled. Once you arrive to land and pass the Wood End Lighthouse you will find yourself on a vast secluded beach. There were a few others ocean peepers, but the beach stretches aways for your own privacy. After soaking up the rays we started our trek back as it was getting later in the day. A quick dinner back at the town center with a sunset view of the harbor and we were back on the road again to Boston. For our next visit I have my eye on AWOL Hotel, Salt House Inn or the Eben House - there are so many cute options!
