Maternity Photoshoot with LENA NUGENT
Lena has taken the photography scene in the Boston area by storm over the recent years. Her work is inspiring & creative and her energy is infectious. Her tag line is “not your average studio photographer” and for good reason! Take a peek through her Instagram and you will instantly see this through her work. I am used to being behind the camera, but she made me feel so comfortable and guided poses so naturally throughout the session. Anyone who can make you feel beautiful at 30 weeks pregnant is a true magian in my eyes! We had pre-planned some inspiration shots for the general direction of the shoot; she executed our ideas so beautifully. Towards the end of the shoot my husband Paul had joined our session, a perfect way to capture this monumental time in our lives. She had connected me with Nina of Makeup by Nina to do my hair and make-up for the shoot. She was just as fabulous to work with and she did such a beautiful job. What I Wore:
JEANS: I wore Dad Jean’s “Charlie Boy” oversized fit from Levis. I bought them years ago and they still fit (unbuttoned) perfectly for this shoot. I’m pretty sure These Dad Women's Jeans are the exact same pair.
BRA: This SKIMS Cotton bra has been one of my favorites, it’s super comfy and fit pre-pregnancy, through pregnancy, through our breastfeeding journey. It also comes in a few different colors.
OVERSIZED BUTTON UP: I raided Paul’s closet for this one. I’m not sure of the brand but any large/oversized button up would do. Here is a similar one.
