<br/>BEFORE + AFTER: Sherwin Williams Black Magic<br/>

When we purchased this property we knew paining or changing the exterior color was investable. I mean just look at this color combo… I have swooned over black cabin exteriors since as long as I can remember. There is just something so damn sexy and magical about a black cabin in the woods with the forest as a backdrop. But like always you second guess yourself I was throwing around the idea of a white exterior as well. Our contractor had suggested to go with a Sherwin Williams product so I started on their website. They have a handy Web Visualizer where you can input a picture of the space you want painted and it will manipulate the color for you. This was helpful to see if we wanted to go int he black or white direction. It’s not perfect but it gives you a great overall idea of what the space would look like. So after I selected a few colors went to a local dealer and picked up the paint swatches to see in person. I also resorted to Pinterest and other bloggers for more insight on this color, in the end we decided on Sherwin Williams Black Magic. We absolutely love how the color turned out, it is bold and beautiful and 1000x better than the terrible brown and green combo that it covered. I will say that it does catch a blueish tint in certain angles, but overall we are so happy with how this color turned out. There is still a lot to do on the exterior but this dramatic change gives us a solid design base to build off of. This is a great example of how much color can change and define a space.
