An Od To My Old Self

I found this picture this morning while organizing my hard drive and thought, Wow who was she! - Then I started thinking of my “old” self and how much change this last year has brought. I’ve come to the conclusion that it is okay to mourn my old self while being happier than you’ve ever been at the same time. I think it is very important to appreciate yourself in so many ways, who you were, what you’ve done and who you are on the verge of becoming. Motherhood is a wild adventure I tell ya. So much change, emotions, your life is quite literally turned upside down - in the best way possible. For me it has been a big whirlwind of finding and reinventing this new version myself yourself as a mother and creating a new identity. It is impossible to go through this life changing event and not be completely changed in every way. With that being said I am taking a moment to appreciate my old self, and start to re-imagine the new version of me. Do any other new mommas feel this way?
